World Cancer Day 2017 Collections Volunteer - Nationwide - 3rd/4th February - Cancer Research UK

On Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th we’re looking for bucket collection volunteers to support World Cancer Day. A day when the world comes together to show that we’re united in the fight against cancer. By joining forces on this day, every person can play their part in beating cancer sooner.

Cancer Research UK needs your help to volunteer at a collection site near you! You’ll be helping to hand out Unity Bands for a suggested donation of £2, raising awareness of World Cancer Day, and raising as much money as possible for the fight against cancer.

Creative community researcher - GISDA

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to become community researchers by recording and documenting the memories of Caernarfon's residents. With the help of theatre pioneer Iwan Brioc the memories will be turned into pieces for an interactive museum to be held in Caernarfon in May 2017. The interactive theatre or sensory labyrinth will be used to take people back in time through sensory stimulation.  (http://www.therepublicoftheimagination.org/sensory-labyrinth-theatre/).

The initial 3 day training will be an opportunity to meet new people and to work on a innovative and a groundbreaking heritage project.

There will be also be an opportunity for volunteers to see the acclaimed Theatre Company Cardboard Citizens a powerful and emotive Forum Theatre show, based on a Ken Loach film, Cathy Come Home, on January 14th, in Manchester.
